Elliptical training offers great low impact alternative

For those looking for an alternative to their current cardio routine, an elliptical may be the way to go. With elliptical exercisers, there is very little impact on your joints, offering a great workout with little risk of injury.

Ellipticals are basically a cross between running, skiing and biking. The smooth motion of the pedals combined with the sometimes included hand levers, offers a super total body workout that is sure to rival that of a treadmill. The bonus being that it is a no impact way to train.

If you currently use other cardio machines in your workout, throwing in an elliptical trainer will definitely enhance your routine. One of the great benefits of using one of these cross trainers is that because of the smooth action of the pedals, you often don't realize or "feel" how much you are really exerting. This translates into more calories burned.

Take a look at some of the ellipticals featured here along with the ratings and reviews we've made available to you.
